I’ll admit it, I picked up Paladin’s Way ~ Soulstone (Paladin’s Way Book 1) because I liked the cover. I’m always drawn to a warrior-type with a sword in his hand, and this cover did not disappoint! And, I’m pleased to say, neither did the plot!
This book is a locomotive of a plot right from page one that never slows down, just barrels right along.
I was pretty caught up in the story and had a hard time putting it down.
Paladin’s Way ~ Soulstone is about an ancient knight who has basically been around for centuries protecting the world from a lurking dire evil. But, due to a spell placed on him by his ancient enemy, Gib Taylor (known formerly as Roland) has no memory of his past. He soon finds himself swept away by an unfolding sequence of events that foretell impending catastrophe where he is plays a main roll in saving humanity from the devices of an evil mage.
The book is riveting. If I have one complaint, it’s that Paladin’s Way a little plot-heavy. A completely absorbing read. I will be looking forward to the next installment!
